The North West ONE Awards, organised by England Netball and Manchester Thunder, are held to celebrate netball volunteers from across the region, and we were very pleased to attend for the second year running. Last year, the club was a finalist in the ‘Club of the Year’ category, and this year it was club secretary Harriet Holme who was a finalist in the ‘Unsung Hero of the Year’ category. 

Also nominated for the ‘Coach of the Year (Adults)’ award was Stu Nattrass of Carlisle-based Meerkats Netball Club and we were chuffed to be sat alongside him, and his wife Emma, at the table.

These events are a brilliant opportunity to celebrate club achievements over the past year, meet new people and catch-up with friends from across the region.

Although neither Cumbrian came away with an award for their respective categories, a good night was had by all. Here’s to 2024!
